To prepare for classroom-level, grade-level and school-wide bees, give your students the School Level Study List (450 words).
When you have declared your school spelling bee champion, provide your champion with a copy of the Words of the Champions study list (4,000) so that they may prepare for bees that take place at the next level(s) of competition in your area.
